Healthy Tortilla Chips


Hi guys! Today I'll be showing you how o make some awesome, healthy tortilla chips made from almond flour! This is a crispy, spicy treat that goes perfectly with so many different Mexican dishes, and they are so simple to make too :D So if you want a healthier, non-fried alternative for taco night, then watch this video or scroll down to the directions below :)

INGREDIENTS:  
500 ml (5 dl) almond flour
2 eggs (only the whites)
Spices! I use salt, black pepper, Mexican spice mix, chili flakes, paprika powder, onion powder, garlic powder and cayenne pepper, but you can chose whatever seasoning you want to fit your own spice level.

DIRECTIONS:
Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Mix the almond four with the spices so everything is well combined. Add in the egg whites and combine into a nice dough.

Put some parchment paper on your work surface and place half of the dough in the middle of it. Then place another cheat of paper on top and use a rolling pin to roll out the dough as thinly as you can.

Place everything on a baking tray and carefully peel the top parchment paper off the dough. Then use a sharp knife to cut the dough into triangles.

Bake the tortilla chips in the oven at 150°C or 300°F for 10-15 minutes and then carefully break the chips apart and let cool completely on a cooling rack. Then repeat the same steps with the other half of the dough.

Store in a air tight glass container. The tortilla chips will stay good for a few weeks.
